With great pride, we share that Cláudia Anjos, a contestant in the 1st edition of Cascais Ópera, was part of the cast of Jenůfa by Leoš Janáček, performing the role of Jano in a production staged at the Centro Cultural de Belém on March 21 and 23.
Her participation in Cascais Ópera proved to be a key milestone in her journey, earning her the invitation to audition for this prestigious production by Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, directed by Robert Carsen.
After touring some of the world’s most iconic stages, Jenůfa arrived in Portugal with an outstanding cast. This masterpiece by Leoš Janáček has cemented his position as one of the great composers in operatic history, moving audiences with its dramatic and musical intensity.
